The Lemon-Ginger caffeinated gel is our best-seller in the energy gel range because it is the best mix between immediate energy supply and the necessary boost before a challenge. It's perfect for climbing a steep hill on a bike or trail, or from the 25th or 30th km in a marathon.

There is, of course, no acidity despite the presence of lemon and ginger. Those who taste it for the first time are always surprised by its very mild flavor. In blind tests, most people think it is a honey gel. Mulebar's DNA since 2008 is naturalness, digestibility during exercise, and taste, so this lemon gel has been fulfilling this mission for 15 years now.

To save money, you can buy it in a pack of 5 lemon energy gels or in a box of 24 lemon energy gels. Once you become a fan of this Mulebar lemon gel, it’s much more economical to buy it in a 12-gels eco-refill bottle.

This gel tube is indeed reusable after rinsing with hot water. It is our response to reducing the use of single-use plastic tubes and all those gel wrappers we unfortunately see everywhere along roads and trails. Since other gels on the market are not resealable and there is always some product left inside, they leak in pockets and get sticky! Some people prefer to throw them away rather than dirty their beautiful bags or clothes. Our gels with their truly resealable caps do not leak. So there is no reason to throw it in nature.

Otherwise, you can use our silicone flasks which come in 60ml (2 gels) or 150ml (5 gels) versions. This is much cheaper and also helps reduce plastic packaging.

• Brown rice syrup is a sugar produced from the fermentation of rice. It is an excellent alternative to sugars as it allows the body to gradually assimilate it. The flavor is mild, and its consistency is similar to honey.
• Lemon juice is one of the richest in antioxidants. It helps fight free radicals and oxidative stress, preventing premature aging, both physically (skin appearance) and in the development of certain cancers.
• Agave syrup is rich in iron, an essential trace element for the body. Iron facilitates the transport of oxygen in the blood. It is a component of hemoglobin in red blood cells that transport oxygen from the lungs to tissues. Agave syrup strengthens bones due to its calcium content. It contains silica, which, when combined with calcium, plays a role in preventing decalcification and osteoporosis. It also contains potassium, essential for the proper functioning of the body as it helps build and maintain muscles, especially the heart, and neurons. It has a sweeter taste than white sugar and a much lower glycemic index (15), which helps avoid insulin spikes. It is particularly suitable for diabetics.
• Ginger accumulates benefits for the whole body. It is active on libido, promotes digestion, alleviates nausea, is an excellent antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and is also recognized for its antidiabetic and pain-relieving properties.
• Guarana is recognized as one of the richest foods in caffeine, which is very interesting in sports practice. It is also rich in tannins that promote digestive comfort and control. Thanks to its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, guarana can help fight digestive problems such as diarrhea and constipation.
• Himalayan pink salt is very rich in trace elements, especially iron, which allows good blood regeneration and improves circulation. It helps maintain healthy lungs and improves respiratory functions. It restores blood pH (acid-base balance) and acts on acid reflux problems.

Our lemon gel is generally used after antioxidant gels (apple and cherry). The 50mg of caffeine it contains will give you a good boost of quick energy just when you start to feel fatigue.

We recommend taking 1 tube of gel every 45 minutes during exertion (to provide 30g of carbohydrates per hour for efforts less than 3 hours), taking a third of the tube every 15 minutes. That's why we made it with a cap. The gel is resealable, so you don't need to consume it all at once. This would cause too much of a sugar intake, which can have a counterproductive effect during effort (reactive hypoglycemia, weak legs, etc.). It's better to have a regular intake than a "yo-yo effect" on your body. Remember to hydrate well regularly after each intake to remove the sugar from your mouth. Aim for about 500ml of water per hour. If you wait until you are thirsty to drink, it will be too late.
